Breast cancer tends to metastasize most to the bones. Less frequently, the liver, lung, thoracic membrane, brain and soft tissues are among the organs where breast cancer can metastasize. The higher the size of the tumor in the breast, the greater the risk of metastasis. For a tumor with a diameter of 5 cm, the risk of metastasis at diagnosis is around 60 percent.

Chemotherapy is a treatment with drugs that kill cancer cells, usually with the use of several drugs at the same time. There is no accepted standard age for starting breast checkups. But after the age of 20, every woman should do a breast self-exam once a month. It is recommended to consult a physician every three years for control purposes. The most suitable period for self-examination is the 3rd or 5th day after the end of each period.
